Ceramic Coating and paint correction services

What is a Ceramic Coating?

What is Paint Correction & Polishing

What is Paint Correction & Polishing

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to your vehicle's paint, glass, wheels, and even plastic trim. It creates a durable, hydrophobic layer that enhances gloss and protects against environment damage. Unlike tradition waxes or sealants, ceramic coatings last years instead of months, providing long-term protection.

What are the benefits of Ceramic Coatings?

  • Long-Lasting Protection - Shields paint and other surfaces from 1-Year up to 10-Years, depending on the type of coating and with proper maintenance.
  • Hydrophobic Properties - Repels water, dirt, and grime, making your vehicle much easier to clean and maintain.
  • UV & Oxidation Resistance - Prevents fading and oxidation cause by sun exposure.
  • Chemical & Road Salt Protection - Resists damage from harsh chemicals, bird droppings, and acid rain.
  • Enhanced Gloss & Shine - Keeps your paint looking deep, rich, and showroom ready.

Why is Ceramic Coating Important in Colorado?

In states like Colorado, vehicles are exposed to harsh winters, road salt, and extreme UV rays due to high elevation. Salt and de-icing chemicals accelerate rust and paint deterioration, while intense sunlight can cause fading and oxidation. Ceramic coatings act as a protective shield, preserving your car's exterior and reducing maintenance needs year-round.

What is Paint Correction & Polishing

Paint correction is a professional process that removes surface imperfections like swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and water spots from your vehicle's paint. This is achieved through machine polishing which restores clarity, depth, and gloss.

Types of Paint Correction Services:

  • 1-Step Paint Polishing - A light polish that enhances gloss and removes minor swirl marks. Perfect for newer vehicles or as prep for ceramic coatings. (Removes 40-60% of Defects)
  • 2-Step Paint Correction - A combination of cutting and polishing to remove moderate defects and restore deep shine. (Removes 65-85% of Defects)
  • 3-Step Paint Correction - A full multi-stage process to eliminate heavy scratches, deep swirls, and oxidation, bringing the paint back to a near-flawless finish. (Removes 90-99% of Defects)

What are the Benefits of Paint Correction?

  • Removes Scratches & Swirl Marks - Eliminates surface defects for a smooth, mirror-like finish.
  • Restores Depth & Gloss - Enhances color richness and clarity.
  • Prepares for Ceramic Coating - Ensures the best possible bond for long-lasting protection.

How do I take care of my ceramic coated vehicle?

Required Maintenance Plan for Ceramic Coatings

Why is a Maintenance Plan required?

  1. Ceramic coatings provide unmatched protection, but they still require proper care to maintain their durability, gloss, and hydrophobic properties.
  2. Regular maintenance prevents contamination buildup and ensures your coating performs at its best for years.
  3. Even if you like to wash your car yourself, our Ceramic Coatings require at least an Annual Ceramic Coating Booster to maintain the durability and longevity of the coating, and to make sure that the coating is working properly.
  4. Though we require at 1 maintenance wash per year, we highly recommend a maintenance wash every 3 months to maintain warranty coverage and maximize the coating's lifespan.

Ceramic Coating Safety Requirements

  1. No automatic car washes -  Avoid tunnel washes, spinning brushes, or harsh chemicals. These can cause micro-scratches, strip hydrophobic properties, and reduce coating lifespan. Instead, always use a hand wash with pH-neutral soap.
  2. Proper wash techniques - If you're washing your car yourself, make sure you're washing it properly to ensure that the coating & paintwork isn't being damaged. Use PH Neutral soaps, a soft microfiber wash mitt, the 2-bucket method, and use a quality drying towel or air dry (no chamois or rough towels).
  3. Perform regular decontamination washes -  Over time, road grime, water spots, and embedded contaminants can build up, reducing the coating’s effectiveness. Every 3 to 6 months, do a decontamination wash using an iron remover and a ceramic-safe spray sealant to refresh the coating’s hydrophobic properties.

How do I take care of my paint after paint correction?

Things to Avoid

  •  Automatic Car Washes – Spinning brushes and harsh chemicals will scratch and dull the paint.
  • Dirty Wash Mitts & Towels – Using contaminated towels or mitts can grind dirt into the paint.
  • Improper Drying Methods – Avoid using chamois, bath towels, or air drying, as they can leave scratches or water spots.
  • Rubbing Dust Off with a Dry Towel – Always use a quick detailer and microfiber towel to prevent scratching.
  • Parking Under Trees – Sap, bird droppings, and pollen can damage the paint if left uncleaned.

How to Prevent Scratches & Swirls

  • Never Use the Brush at a Self-Wash Car Wash - Always perform a touchless wash or bring your own wash buckets. The brush broom at your local car wash might be great for removing dirt but the dirt from previously washed vehicles is still in those bristles and can cause new scratches in your paint and your wheels.
  • Use the Two-Bucket Wash Method with a Microfiber Mitt – One bucket for clean soapy water, one for rinsing dirt off your mitt. Never use old rags or rough sponges.
  • Dry with a High-Quality Microfiber Drying Towel – Or use a touchless air blower to eliminate water spots.
  • Apply a Paint Sealant or Wax Every 2–3 Months – Adds a protective layer to reduce scratches.
  • Use a Quick Detailer for Light Cleaning – Safely removes dust and fingerprints between washes.
  • Decontaminate the Paint Every 3–6 Months – Use an iron remover to prevent buildup.
